Hunting costs money. That’s the whole problem.

Outfitter fees, tags, vehicles and fuel, gear, ammunition, trophy costs. It adds up fast, and that cost is exactly why a kid without a hunting family never gets a first season. Your gift covers it — and sends a vetted mentor into the field beside them.

What your gift covers.

These aren’t rounded-off marketing numbers. They’re what it actually costs to put a young person in the field.

$100Hearing and eye protection, and the basic field gear a first-timer does not own.
$500A fifth of a hunt. Five donors at this level put one kid in the field.
$2,500A complete guided hunt for one young person: outfitter fees, tags, transport, gear and ammunition, trophy costs, and a mentor beside them the whole way.

What $2,500 actually pays for

It is a budgeting balance, not a price list. Four costs are close to fixed. The animal is whatever is left, and that is the number that moves.

When an outfitter donates the animal, that entire line goes straight into the next kid’s hunt rather than back to a ranch.

A vetted mentor’s time: $0. Donated, never billed. Your money moves a kid to the field and equips them safely once they are there — it does not pay the adult standing beside them.

No salaries
No one at Range + Keep is paid — not the founder, not the mentors. Every dollar goes to the cost of putting a young person in the field. See our transparency page.

We use Zeffy, which charges nonprofits nothing — no platform fee, no processing fee. Most donation tools take roughly 3% before a dollar reaches us. On a $2,500 gift, that difference is real money, and it stays with the kids.
